War Songs

War is an atrocity, and it takes a gutsy person to endure its horrors.

That's why so many songs and jokes surround the war years - to give the human psyche some sense of relief from the daily onslaught of bad news.

You might be surprised to realize the current truth in the lyrics to this particular war song - it's pure humor and truth in a tune you'll recognize!

War Humor

Sometimes poking fun at outrageous acts by so-called leaders gave the common folks a little comic relief.

War Poem

From the beginning of mankind's fall, our world has known the ravages of war. I wrote a poem some 27 years ago that describes the beginnings of war to that current time period.

Again, you may be shocked to see many similarities to today - why are we surprised when folks say that history repeats itself?

For more war history, plus some great videos of both patriotic and secular war songs, be sure to check out the links at the bottom of each page linked above.

I'd love for you to Contact Me with any stories, songs, or humor you've collected or experienced from your encounters (near or far) with war.

I'll leave you with the classic World War I Song: It's A Long Way To Tipperary - may you enjoy the rest of our patriotic month of July, and may God Bless America!

Until next time,

Bill
